Update - For Mozilla Firefox Users

Of course, assuming that you're using a decent browser like Firefox and not that IE thing that most workplaces insist upon using, you could always try this little trick courtesy of Gareth "pogo mcgurk" Ellis (as posted on a much, much shorter and more pleasurable to read thread that came up in the same search):
- Open up Firefox
- Click on the "Bookmarks" tab
- Click on "Manage Bookmarks"
- Go to "Create Bookmark"
- Now, In the "Location" form, copy and paste the following:
javascript:Qr=document.getSelection();if(!Qr){void(Qr=prompt('Search Google for MP3s',))};if(Qr)location.href='http://www.google.com/search?lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%3Fintitle%3Aindex.of%3F%20∞ mp3%20'+escape(Qr)
- Once you've done that, simply give the bookmark a name and description of your choice (personally, I call it "super happy nifty bookmark form for searching MP3's on Google with", but feel free to use your imaginations! There is no limit to the amount of exciting things you could call it), and save the whole lot using the function of the same name (i.e. "save").
Sorted? Well, to find out one way or the other, restart Firefox and try clicking on your new bookmark. If you've done everything correctly, a small pop-up form will appear prompting you to enter the name of the artist/track you'd like to leech off this precious, precious resource!

How to use google to find MP3s

Ooh, also - guess what I've just spent a ridiculously long time doing on VJ? Nothing terribly exciting I'm afraid, but... do you remember a while ago Katt put up a method for finding fast and free mp3's on google? Wellum, just so happens that I was rendered without any sort of file sharing program (damn you work!) recently, and seemingly had to rely on such a method to scab some mp3's for my new player. Thusly, I did a search on VJ for the google mp3 trick, and only three threads came up.

"Hurrah! Only a few possibilities - I won't be here long!" I thought, until I noticed that one of those threads was the much dreaded "WAYTRN" thread we've so recently managed to get rid of (or at least, you managed it)! Ach! That thread instantly became even more loathed in my world view, and continued along that pattern every sodding page of it I had to trawl through.

Any idea which page number I found it on? After going through every page since the first one?
