First of all, hello there. You are looking at
VoodooJunkie's high grade world beating wiki contraption. This should get y'all started...
So, what's the beef with this then?
Well, a wiki is a website which ANYONE can add content to, either by editing an existing page or making a whole new page. The glory is that anyone, ANYONE can add to any page and anyone can make a page. Even without registering. (Although it it nice to see who wrote what.) Pages should spread out in a viral fashon merely by w!AIDS!ay new pages are made, which makes wikis fun to read through.
Please add as much stuff to this site as you want.
...I can edit any page on this thing then?
You can edit any page, so be nice and write anything you think is relevant. Click the 'Edit page' link at the bottom of the page you want to edit. Please try and leave a reason as to why you edited the page in the text box provided (it's got "Please add a note on your edit." written next to it!!1)
Please use the SandBox to mess around.
See section below.
Can I practise making pages before doing anything for real?
You can in the sandbox. The
SandBox is a place set aside for you to edit and mess around with formatting pages without ballsing up any page that matters. Feel free to edit this page with
gibberish until your skullz are mad polished.
- Click on the SandBox link
- Click Edit page at the bottom there
- play around and edit the text until you figure out how to do what you wanted to do
- Look at FormattingRules for a guide
Hey! why can't I use BB Code or HTML? what's the deal? I want [b]THIS![/b]
Your best bet to figure out what's going on with formatting a page is to go
here. Please use the
SandBox to mess around.
Right, I've finished cocking around, I want a username...
Dead easy. It's a shame it's not linked into your messageboard profile, but meh. Like I said, it's easy. Go
here and Fill in the form.
Fill in the form like so:
WikiName = Your username. Unfortuantly, it will need two capital letters, as that is what makes it work. Read some about WikiWords if your really that interested.
Password = What you want your password to be
Password again = The same as password
Email address = Your Email address
Click 'Register'
I want to make an new page. I have something new to add.
Feel free. Essentially, new pages are made by making links on existing pages. You edit a page, put in a link, then click on said link. This'll take you to place where you can edit and save your page.
How do I make a link then?
Do this:
- Edit the page you'd like the link to be on.
- Decide on your link name. Links like to be a perticular format - All one word*. No spaces. and Preferably with two capital letters in.
- Arr be the format: [[Zombies]] - With the two square brackets each side. That'll make a link to a page called Zombies.
- Preferably though, you can make a link just by stringing two words together with capital letters, again no spaces. Typing just JordansBaby would happily make the link JordansBaby. This is considered the better thing to do than just dumping the link you want to make in square brackets.
...Also, stop and have a quick think about where you are putting the link. Is that the best place for it? Would the link be suitable to be put somewhere
else as well as where your putting it now?
* Note: You can make links with spaces in by giving your single word link a name. Do it like this: [[OneWordLink My spaced out link name]]. This will produce a link to the page OneWordLink but will show up on the page as:
My spaced out link name.
Why do some links look different? Why am I seeing red lines or crazy symbols?
- A link in brown is a link to another page in the wiki.
- A brown link with a red dotted line underneath is a link to a page that hasn't been made yet. Click on it to start making the page.
- A brown link which has a funny symbol after it (like this∞) is a link to an external page. In this can the voodoojunkie front page.
See? Easy. And that's it. Now
STOP WHINING.
