Radiohead - Amnesiac

Recorded during the same sessions as Kid A, the tracks of Amnesiac were presumably left off the former for being either not quite strange enough, or just plain shit. So why did Radiohead bother with this pile of cast-off depressive cock? Crazy noises all over the shop, as expected, but the few decent tunes, including the OK Computer-esqe 'Knives Out' and first single 'Pyramid Song', sit amongst noise-wank the likes of which only Radiohead could muster. Thom Yorke whines his little whine, but the emotion of previous LP OK Computer is long since lost.

If you like listening to the radio slightly off frequency, or enjoy banging spanners against pipes, this is for you. Likewise if you're a Radiohead fan, and don't mind the fact that they're sliding uncontrollably into Avant-Garde Jazz territory. If you don't fall into any of these categories, however, you'll likely be disappointed. Ah well.
