The Click
Within any organization there is inevitably a group of people called “The Click” – the manager of the department normally heads this structure with his seniors and other posies members of the group. The “Click” has the ability of getting away with all kinds of atrocities i.e., turning up late for work and the manager turns a blind eye, to the point of taking at least an hour for lunch visiting the local establishment whilst in work.

Becoming a member of the Click?
To become a successful member of the “Click” you first need to master the art of sucking up to your managers which is not an easy task to master. This would mean you would have to be two faced with all other members of staff and stab them in the back when their backs are turned. Report to you manager or senior on a daily basis about other staff members and reporting to them every little thing they do within the office. Divulge all personal details about all members of staff whilst on the sick and even make up some lies about them to make sure they have a disciplinary when then return back to work.

How to spot a Click operating within you office?
Spotting a click operating within your organisation is normally easy to spot because they never seam to do any work. The manager is normally on the phone all-day or sending out mindless emails to his posse group. The click also attends lunch together and takes off as much time as they want without other departmental manager noticing these events happening.

Sometimes a member of the click will induce too much alcohol, and will end up taking the morning off work and still proceed to leave at their normal time. Other members of the click will also turn up late for work and the leader of the click will turn a blind eye and nothing is logged or reported so they end up get away with it. When the leader of the click decides to leave all senor members decide to leave at the same time leaving only a skeleton group of dedicated staff to run the show. This normally happens at the end of the weeks, which engages other members of staff.

How can you stop a click operating?
This normally takes desperate measures and a lot of courage to collapse a click group operating within the office. The easiest way would be to write an ignominious letter to the MD of the organisation informing he or she should take an avid interest in a group of people operating within their organisation where the lower end of the staff do all the work whilst the manager and senior members of staff just lay back and do nothing all-day.

If you start getting whispers from other members of staff act shocked and shake your head in disbelief; sigh and utter the words – “Well I would never have know this was happening under my nose…” When questioned by senior manager who would have reported them just act dull and say “I really don’t know who could have done something so bad as reporting you to the higher management…” Then laugh in your head behind their backs and smile to yourself.

Remember nobody likes a click operating in your place of employment and you can take steps to prevent this from happening if you take action by not revealing your identity.
